TECHFLASH INC., doing business as TechFlash ("TechFlash," "we," "us," or "our"), provides a technology platform that helps skilled technicians and businesses discover, evaluate, communicate about, and manage potential work opportunities.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the TechFlash website, mobile application, communications, forms, advertisements, technician network, business tools, and related services collectively referred to as the "Services."

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of the Services is also governed by the TechFlash Terms of Service at:

  • Credential expiration dates
  • Professional references
  • Availability
  • Desired workload
  • Minimum desired compensation

  • Photographs, profile images, documents, or other submitted materials
  • Interest in optional verification

C. Business and Company Information

Business users may provide information such as:

D. Job, Application, and Marketplace Information

  • Jobs posted or viewed

  • Communications between platform users

E. Identity, Credential, and Verification Information

When a user chooses or is required to participate in a verification process, we or our service providers may collect or process:

  • Identity-verification information
  • Background-check information
  • Motor-vehicle-record information
  • Verification results and status

Some identity, background, or motor-vehicle information may be collected directly by a specialized provider such as Checkr or another verification provider. TechFlash may receive a status, report, result, or limited verification information rather than all underlying information submitted to that provider.

Where required by law, background checks or consumer reports will be subject to separate disclosures, authorizations, notices, and provider terms. Agreeing to this Privacy Policy is not a substitute for any separate authorization required for a background check.

F. Payment and Transaction Information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We may receive limited transaction information including:

  • Billing name
  • Billing address
  • Payment method type
  • Last four digits of a payment method
  • Payment status
  • Transaction amount
  • Refund, dispute, or chargeback information

TechFlash does not necessarily store complete payment-card numbers.

G. Device, Usage, and Technical Information

  • Session information
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address

  • Evaluate technician and business registrations

  • Match technicians and companies with relevant opportunities
  • Process jobs, applications, invitations, claims, and schedules
  • Facilitate communications between users
  • Provide customer support
  • Verify identity, licenses, credentials, references, and eligibility
  • Administer optional TechFlash Verified or similar verification features
  • Process payments, fees, refunds, and transaction records
  • Prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Investigate complaints, safety issues, and policy violations
  • Maintain platform integrity and security
  • Personalize content, recommendations, and job opportunities
  • Measure advertising and marketing performance
  • Send administrative, transactional, informational, and support communications
  • Send marketing communications when the recipient has separately consented
  • Maintain records of consent and opt-out requests
  • Enforce our agreements and policies
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

3. HOW INFORMATION IS DISCLOSED

A. Between Marketplace Users

Information in a technician profile may be made available to companies evaluating potential technicians. Information in a company profile or job posting may be made available to technicians evaluating potential opportunities.

The precise information shown may depend on account settings, platform features, the stage of a match, and applicable law.

B. Service Providers

We may disclose information to vendors that perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Cloud hosting
  • Data storage
  • Authentication
  • Customer support
  • Communications and SMS delivery
  • Email delivery
  • Payment processing
  • Analytics
  • Fraud prevention
  • Identity verification
  • License and credential verification
  • Background checks
  • Motor-vehicle-record checks
  • App monitoring
  • Marketing and advertising support

These providers may process information only for the services they provide to TechFlash and subject to applicable contractual restrictions.

C. At Your Direction

We may disclose information when you request or authorize us to do so, including when you apply for a job, communicate with another user, request verification, or connect a third-party service.

D. Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or lawful process
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of TechFlash, our users, or others
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, security incidents, or illegal activity
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements

We may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

4. SMS AND MOBILE INFORMATION

TechFlash offers optional SMS communications from TECHFLASH INC. d/b/a TechFlash. SMS messages may include:

  • Technician onboarding information
  • Account and profile updates
  • Application updates
  • Relevant job opportunities
  • Scheduling information
  • Verification and status updates
  • Customer-support messages
  • Service announcements
  • Marketing or promotional messages when separately authorized

Providing a telephone number does not by itself authorize TechFlash to send marketing text messages. Where consent is required, users are presented with a separate consent choice describing the applicable message type.

SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing, submitting a lead form, creating an account, applying for work, or using the Services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Users may reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for assistance. Users may also contact [email protected] or 832-621-3956.

TechFlash may retain records associated with SMS consent, including the date and time of consent, consent source, disclosure language presented, campaign, telephone number, opt-out status, and related technical records where available.

MOBILE DATA NON-SHARING STATEMENT

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or message delivery, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except aggregators and providers of the text-messaging services.

SMS opt-in information and consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or assigned to another company for that company's independent marketing.

5. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

TechFlash and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage, tags, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Maintain security
  • Understand usage
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Measure performance
  • Improve the Services
  • Measure advertising effectiveness
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

We may use analytics and advertising services provided by companies such as Meta, Google, or similar providers.

Browser or device settings may allow you to block or delete certain cookies. Some features may not function correctly without necessary cookies.

We do not currently respond to all browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is not a universally accepted technical standard. Where required, we honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals.

6. TARGETED ADVERTISING AND SALE OR SHARING

TechFlash does not sell personal information for money.

Certain analytics or advertising disclosures may be considered "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a "sale" under some state privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, eligible users may request to opt out by contacting [email protected].

SMS opt-in data and mobile consent are excluded from advertising disclosures and are governed by the Mobile Data Non-Sharing Statement above.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Services
  • Maintain accounts
  • Complete transactions
  • Preserve consent and opt-out records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Prevent fraud
  • Enforce agreements
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

We may retain certain records after account deletion when legally permitted or required, including transaction, consent, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and compliance records.

8. DATA SECURITY

TechFlash uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

However, no internet transmission, application, platform, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, and account credentials and for promptly notifying TechFlash of suspected unauthorized activity.

9. USER PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of certain information
  • Request a portable copy of certain information
  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Appeal the denial of a privacy request
  • Avoid unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be required to provide evidence of authority.

10. COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES

Users may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email.

Users may opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

Opting out of marketing communications does not necessarily prevent TechFlash from sending essential account, security, legal, transactional, or service communications where permitted by law.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, payment processors, background-check providers, or other services.

Those third parties maintain their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not govern third-party services, and users should review the applicable third-party policies.

12. CHILDREN

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old.

TechFlash does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for use of the technician or business marketplace. If we learn that information was collected from an ineligible minor, we may delete it and terminate the applicable account.

13. INTERNATIONAL USERS

TechFlash is operated in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will post the updated policy and revise the "Last Updated" date. When legally required, we will provide additional notice or obtain additional consent.
